Built on SmartSens’ SmartClarity®-SL Pro technology with 22nm Stacked advanced process, SCC90XS integrates the company's newly upgraded LOFIC HDR® 3.0 technology, alongside advanced technologies including SFCPixel®-2 and AllPix ADAF®. Offering a new option for flagship ultra-high-definition telephoto and main cameras, SCC90XS can be combined with SmartSens' ultra-high dynamic range series of high-end smartphone image sensors to create a comprehensive solution that delivers LOFIC ultra-high dynamic range across the full focal length of flagship smartphone multi-camera modules.

Main Features

200MP Ultra-High Dynamic Range

SCC90XS features 200MP ultra-high resolution with a 0.61μm pixel size, supporting in-sensor 2× (effective 50MP) and 4× (effective 12.5MP) zoom. It delivers an optical-grade ultra-clear digital zoom experience for flagship smartphone cameras, enabling high-definition imaging at both long and short distances.

Leveraging SmartSens' newly upgraded LOFIC HDR® 3.0 technology, SCC90XS achieves an ultra-high dynamic range of up to 105dB*, an increase of approximately 19dB over equivalent dual-frame HDR products in the industry. As a result, SCC90XS preserves more highlights and shadow details in video capture, delivering well-balanced highlights and shadows with natural and vibrant imagery for flagship smartphone cameras. It also effectively suppresses motion artifacts, helping cameras capture high-quality video with rich tonal layers and clear, smear-free imaging, even in scenes with moving objects.

Optimized Pixel Performance

SmartSens' LOFIC HDR® 3.0 comprehensively optimizes LOFIC frame pixel performance with support for LOFIC frame high gain, significantly improving nighttime imaging and effectively suppressing dark-field noise in low-light conditions. In addition, the optimized multi-frame fusion of LOFIC HDR ® 3.0 technology ensures more natural highlight-shadow transitions in high-contrast scenes. As a result, SCC90XS delivers all-scenario ultra-high dynamic range capture for flagship smartphones, delivering outstanding performance in both bright daylight and low-light nighttime conditions.

Ultra-High Frame Rate High Dynamic Range Video

SCC90XS supports 4K 240fps in standard mode and 4K 60fps HDR video in LOFIC HDR® 3.0 mode. It provides greater frame-rate headroom for professional mobile imaging creation, significantly enhancing video shooting quality and meeting the requirements of diverse innovative imaging features such as slow-motion video and intelligent stabilization.

Optimized Power Consumption

Leveraging SmartClarity®-SL Pro technology platform and SmartSens’ new high-speed low-power readout circuit technology, SCC90XS effectively optimizes power consumption. It draws approximately 225mW in standard mode (a reduction of about 22% compared to the previous generation) and below 600mW in 4K 60fps LOFIC HDR® 3.0 mode. This effectively reduces the battery drain on the device during HDR video recording, enhances mode utilization, and provides greater flexibility for imaging strategy configuration.

Exceptional Imaging Performance

As an image sensor for flagship smartphone telephoto and main cameras, SCC90XS incorporates patented SFCPixel®-2 and AllPix ADAF® technologies, along with an upgraded optical structure. It delivers outstanding imaging performance across multiple critical aspects, including noise suppression, sensitivity, and color fidelity.

Ultra-Low Noise

SCC90XS, equipped with SmartSens' patented SFCPixel®-2 technology, offers superior noise suppression performance. In 200MP and 50MP modes, readout noise is around 1.1e⁻, approximately 17% lower than industry-standard equivalent products; in 12.5MP mode, readout noise can be as low as 1.5e⁻, approximately 10% lower than industry-standard equivalent products. This ultra-low noise performance delivers exceptional nighttime imaging capabilities, helping smartphone cameras capture clearer, more detailed images in low-light environments. High Sensitivity and High Color Fidelity

SCC90XS integrates SmartSens' Narrow BDTI® (NBDTI®) and Low-n Grid upgraded optical structures achieving high color fidelity and optical sensitivity with a 0.61μm small pixel size. NBDTI® reduces optical crosstalk, enabling smartphone cameras to capture true, accurate color reproduction. At the same time, while ensuring low crosstalk, SCC90XS significantly boosts optical sensitivity through the Low-n Grid optical structure, achieving a peak QE of up to 81%, approximately 10% higher than industry-standard equivalent products. This enables smartphone cameras to capture brighter, clearer images in low-light scenes such as twilight and nighttime.

Dual-Mode Fast Autofocus

SCC90XS is equipped with SmartSens' AllPix ADAF® and Sparse PDAF® technologies, supporting two fast autofocus modes: 100% all-pixel autofocus and 6% partial-pixel autofocus. These modes can be flexibly switched under different lighting conditions, achieving high-speed, accurate autofocus that balances focusing speed and power optimization.

Embedded with LOFIC HDR® technology, SmartSens has already launched multiple high-performance CMOS image sensor for flagship smartphone applications, including SC5A6XS and SC575XS.
