(SSE STAR MARKET: 688213), a technologically advanced CMOS image sensor supplier, announced the SCC80XS, a 200-MegaPixel (MP) 0.61μm ultra-high-definition CMOS Image Sensor (CIS) for smartphone cameras. Built on the SmartClarity®-SL Pro platform with a 22nm+ Stacked BSI process, the SCC80XS integrates SmartSens’ advanced technologies including SuperPixGain HDR®, SFCPixel®-SL, and AllPix ADAF®. Furthermore, the SCC80XS supports high-frame-rate and high-dynamic-range video recording, making it suitable for use as either the main or auxiliary camera in flagship smartphones. The SCC80XS significantly enhances overall mobile imaging performance and helps establish a new standard for ultra-high-definition image quality.

Ultra-High Definition
The SCC80XS features a 200MP ultra-high-definition pixel array with 2x (50MP) and 4x (12.5MP) in-sensor zoom, delivering sharp, high-definition imaging across the entire focal range. Whether capturing distant scenes or close-up details, it ensures exceptional clarity. Compatible with primary, telephoto, and wide-angle camera modules, the SCC80XS brings an ultra-clear visual performance to flagship smartphone imaging.

SFCPixel®-SL Technology
Built on SmartSens' advanced SmartClarity®-SL Pro platform with a 0.61μm pixel size, the SCC80XS innovatively integrates proprietary SFCPixel®-SL technology to achieve substantial image noise reduction. In both 200MP and 50MP modes, SCC80XS’s read noise is approximately 0.7e-, representing a 47% reduction compared to industry peer products. This superior noise suppression significantly enhances night-scene imaging, enabling flagship smartphone cameras to capture ultra-clear nightscapes with rich detail and refined texture.

High Sensitivity & High Color Fidelity
The SCC80XS is the first product to integrate SmartSens’ new Narrow BDTI(NBDTI™) technology and an upgraded Low-n Grid optical structure, delivering high color fidelity and high sensitivity in a small-pixel architecture. Leveraging NBDTI™ optical technology, the SCC80XS features an ultra-narrow pixel isolation structure that effectively reduces optical crosstalk and prevents color mixing, enabling smartphone cameras to render more authentic and accurate color reproduction. For its Low-n Grid technology, the SCC80XS adopts a new Grid material, which maintains low optical crosstalk while significantly increasing optical sensitivity. Boasting a peak quantum efficiency (QE) of up to 80%, the SCC80XS markedly optimizes imaging performance in low-light conditions, allowing smartphone cameras to capture brighter and sharper images.
High Frame Rate & High Dynamic Range
The SCC80XS incorporates SmartSens’ PixGain HDR® technology, achieving a dynamic range of up to 85dB. In video capture, the sensor preserves more details in both highlight and shadow areas, while effectively suppressing motion artifacts. These capabilities enable smartphone cameras to deliver high-dynamic-range (HDR) video with rich light and shadow gradations, distinct light-dark contrast, and sharp, smear-free footage. Furthermore, the SCC80XS supports ultra-high-frame-rate 4K 120fps video in standard mode, as well as 4K 60fps HDR video across the entire focal range. It delivers vivid, silky-smooth video shooting experiences that meet the requirements of professional video creation.

AllPix ADAF® & Sparse PDAF™
The SCC80XS integrates SmartSens’ AllPix ADAF® and Sparse PDAF™ technologies, which supports flexible switching between two fast autofocus modes under different lighting conditions. In low-light environments, the SCC80XS activates AllPix ADAF® mode, which utilizes 100% of pixels for focusing to deliver both high-speed and precise autofocus. Under normal daily lighting, it switches to Sparse PDAF™ mode, which performs phase detection using only 6% of pixels, ensuring fast and accurate focusing while reducing power consumption.
Built on SmartSens' SmartClarity®-SL Pro technology platform and fabricated with a 22nm stacked process, the SCC80XS achieves significant power consumption optimization. Its ultra-low power consumption performance significantly reduces device heat generation during high-definition video recording, ensuring stable, prolonged shooting sessions while enhancing the overall battery life of the device.
