SmartSens Partners with IBM, Granted 14 Family Patents on CMOS

SmartSens recently signed a strategic partnership agreement with IBM on matters of intellectual property cooperation. As part of the partnership, SmartSens has been granted 14 IBM family patents (consists of 43 active patents) on CMOS image sensor technology. This strategic partnership with IBM will greatly enrich SmartSens’ intellectual property portfolio and provide an extra layer of intellectual property protection for SmartSens’ products.

SmartSens has submitted more than 150 invention patent applications, 85 of which were submitted in China (30 have been granted), while more than 65 were submitted overseas (40 have been granted).
